American Institute for Economic Research Welcomes Columbia University’s Knight-Bagehot Fellows To Campus For Lectures

Fantastic Barrington, MA (PRWEB) May 23, 2013

The American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) was pleased to host Columbia Universitys Knight-Bagehot Fellows at its Fantastic Barrington, MA, campus for a series of lectures, seminars and social events this past week.

This is the fifth consecutive year that AIER has hosted the fellows, providing the mid-career journalists with seminars on current economic trends and investment strategies, inflation, and monetary policy.

Were thrilled to have these outstanding business journalists at our Institute and to provide them with further educational and social programming, said Stephen Adams, President of AIER. We believe that all Americans need a solid understanding of the economic principles that govern their daily lives, and its through high-quality journalism that the public typically learns about the issues that most affect them.

The Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in Economics and Business Journalism offers qualified mid-career journalists the opportunity to enhance their understanding and knowledge of business, economics, and finance in a year-long, full-time program administered by Columbias Graduate School of Journalism. Fellows take courses in business, law, and international affairs; participate in off-the-record seminars and dinner meetings with corporate executives, economists and academics; and attend briefings and field trips to New York-based media companies and financial institutions.

Fellows who attended this years AIER event included Lewis Krauskopf of Reuters, Nandagopal Jayakumar Nair of CNBC-TV18, Kate Davidson of Changing Gears, Gabriel Friedman of the Los Angeles Daily Journal, Charlotte Raab de Miranda of Agence France-Presse, Mica Rosenberg of Reuters, Barrett Sheridan of Bloomberg Businessweek, Katerina Sokou of the Athens daily newspaper Kathimerini, Jaclyn Trop of The Detroit News, and Rachel Wehrspann of Bloomberg Television.

About the American Institute for Economic Research

The American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) conducts independent, scientific, economic research to educate individuals, thereby advancing their personal interests and those of the nation. The Institute, founded in 1933, represents no fund, concentration of wealth, or other special interests. Advertising is not accepted in its publications. Chatwing.com has launched its latest chat software with a user detection feature. The intention of the developers is to bring higher accessibility setup for registered Chatwing admins and chatroom visitors as well. The user detection feature came after the introduction of Chatwings chatroom network setup. Along with this new feature, the developers have also improved the other parameters of the chatroom.

The user detection feature is notable on the right side of the embedded feature. This will show all active users, along with the messages they typed. According to the developers, the user detection feature is somehow similar to the message history, except that it is expanded and more useful for Chatwing admins. Some users have also remarked that the new chatroom theme is flexible and does not affect the overall speed of the chat app.

Weeks ago, the Chatwing chat software team also launched a chat box linking feature that offers higher flexibility for many admins and users. Once this feature is combined with the user detection theme, website owners can now monitor the chat app easily. This is useful, especially if there are many linked chatrooms and there are hundreds of active web users. Active users detected in the chat app theme can also receive social media invitations.

Currently, Chatwings developers are reaching out to people in the blogosphere and different online portals. The developers are explaining the importance of this newest chatroom theme. They also ensured that more themes will come in the following months, granting higher stakes of leverage for all web users. Updates about upcoming themes will be posted in Chatwings official Facebook page.

Geared toward the goal of enhancing communication with the most vital resource a company has: their customers, Customer Lobby helps business owners monitor, respond to and manage what their customers are saying about their business. In todays world, where customers have the power to affect a businesss reputation by spreading positive or negative comments and information online, it is extremely critical to use an effective strategy to harness the power of customer reviews and use that feedback as a marketing tool on social media platforms and on company websites.

I have always understood the importance of collecting testimonials from clients, clarified Ms. Grattan. But, having them collected by a third party company and showed on the Customer Lobby website is much better than me collecting reviews myself and posting them to my own website. There is much greater credibility and trust when a third party company is involved in the process.

Customer Lobby does provide several options for widgets that can be installed on your business website to show the most recent reviews, along with top five featured reviews that you can select and update at any time. The widget also links back to the master reviews page located on the Customer Lobby website, where all collected reviews are listed and available for viewing by visitors.
